Iconic names Davison, Perkins, align for 2020 Enduro Cup with 23Red
Milwaukee Racing's has signed Jack Perkins to partner fellow third generation racer Will Davison in the 2020 Enduro Cup of the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. Perkins joins Milwaukee Racing, customer team of Tickford Racing, mere months after standing on the podium of the Bathurst 1000 in October.

"I'm absolutely delighted to be teaming up with Phil Munday and 23Red Racing to join Will Davison during this year's Endurance Cup," Perkins said. "I can't thank Phil Munday enough for the opportunity to drive the Milwaukee Racing Mustang. Will is one of the most credentialed drivers in Supercars and I'm really looking forward to playing my role during the Endurance races later this year. I can't wait to have a steer of the Milwaukee Racing Mustang at The Bend during the preseason test day."

It is a return of sorts for Perkins, who raced for then-Tickford customer team Charlie Schwerkholt Racing in 2014. Perkins was joined that endurance season by 20-year old co-driver Cameron Waters. Milwaukee Racing team owner Phil Munday is looking forward to the 2020 season, and believes it is one of several moves the team has made to continue its strong form from 2019.

"We took a big step forward in 2019, which was great for Will, myself, and our partners," Munday said. "We want to take another step forward in 2020, and Jack will be a key part of that when we get to the enduros. Jack's a very handy steerer, he's been around a while and just continues to put in great, consistent drives, which is what you need. We were in the mix in most of the endurance races last year, and bringing Jack in gives us a real chance to fight closer to the front in 2020."

Perkins finished sixth in the 2019 Enduro Cup when he was partnered with James Courtney, the pair snatching third at Bathurst and seventh at the Sandown 500. Davison, who finished the 2019 overall championship eighth, is keen to get to work with his new Enduro partner.

"Certainly I loved driving with my brother Alex the last couple years, and he did a good job for us, but I'm definitely looking forward to working with Jack," Davison said. "He's been a really strong co-driver over the years, and it was great to see him stand on the podium last year at Bathurst. For us at Milwaukee Racing, 2019 was a pretty solid year, and we're looking for an even stronger 2020. Jack feels the same way, and he'll obviously play a big part in that later in the year, so I'm excited to team up with him for the Enduros."

Perkins will get his first taste of the No. 23 Milwaukee Racing Ford Mustang at Supercars' preseason SuperTest on Tuesday at The Bend Motorsport Park, which serves as the precursor to the season opening Superloop Adelaide 500, February 20-23.
