NZ Safety Blackwoods ignites its spark with Brad Jones Racing!
NZ Safety Blackwoods has joined forces with Brad Jones Racing, taking naming rights to car 8 driven by Nick Percat.

NZ Safety Blackwoods are a leading supplier of power tools, safety equipment, engineering supplies and work wear in New Zealand and are aware that a number of their customers are dedicated fans of the V8 Supercars. "Our customers depend on us for quality products and solutions in order to get their job done and although we supply to a range of different industries, a number of our customers are automotive based, which demonstrates a clear alignment to the V8 Supercars. That's why we are excited to announce the new naming sponsorship with Brad Jones Racing". Said Michelle Coffey, Marketing Manager of NZ Safety Blackwoods.

With Father's Day fast approaching NZ Safety Blackwoods are giving a New Zealand fan the chance to win flights, accommodation and tickets for two to the race plus a hot lap with Nick himself! To enter and win the ultimate Father's Day prize simply head to the NZ Safety Blackwoods Facebook page and post your best dad joke before Friday the 30th of August.

Whilst Percat has enjoyed a sting of great races he is equally as excited to give some fans the ride of their lives thanks to NZ Safety Blackwoods.

"The year has been decent; we have had many top ten finishes. I am equally excited about this promotion. Without my dad I wouldn't have ever raced a car, he means everything to me. The prize that NZ Safety Blackwoods has put together is epic. I might have to pull out some funny dad jokes in an effort to win", said Percat.

Whilst everyone, including Nick can post some jokes, the competition is for New Zealand residents only.

This event is also a sentimental one for Nick and the entire Brad Jones Racing team.

"I find the Pukekohe circuit enjoyable to drive, its old school. This round is also very special to the team and I as it always reminds us of the legendary driver - Jason Richard's" concluded Percat.

Jason Richards did more than just drive for BJR he became a part of the family. The New Zealand race car driver unfortunately passed away in 2011 of a rare form of cancer. In 2013 the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy was introduced, the driver who scores the most points across all races during the weekend of the New Zealand round of Supercars receives this trophy.

Team owner Brad Jones also added, "This weekend means more to us than the others; it reminds me of the time we spent with JR. I can't believe it was 8 years ago because I remember it like it was yesterday. He was a great driver but more than that, he was a great person".

The team continue to represent JR with a commemorative logo on the door.

"NZ Safety Blackwood serves as an integral partner because of their knowledge of work site safety and solutions. We have up to 50 people who travel with our team, not to mention all the other teams and their respective personal. Safety is paramount at events and as NZ Safety Blackwoods have been providing industrial safety solutions to New Zealand businesses for over 70 years. We feel protected and well equipped thanks to them", stated Jones.

Don't forget New Zealand residents to head to https://www.facebook.com/nzsafetyblackwoods/ and post your best dad joke before Friday the 30th of August to win the ultimate Father's Day prize.
