Top Ten Shootout: N/A
Race: 11th
Championship: Fourth (3,225 points)
Craig Lowndes (#888) - Holden Commodore ZB

"It was emotional, the lead into the race was really special, something I'll remember and cherish for a long time. Today our strategy didn't play too well. If we'd had a late safety car, it would have fallen into our hands. That's what it's all about, we try hard, we work as a team, we win and lose as a team and I'm really proud of what we've done as a team and achieved this year. A really big thanks to everyone that's been involved. To finish fourth in the championship is real credit to the team, it showed we can still fight it with the best and I'm really looking forward to closing this chapter off now. 2019 will be a big year in lots of ways. Congratulations to Scotty (McLaughlin) and to all their guys, they did a great job. Shane (van Gisbergen) is probably gutted, but we'll fight back, Triple Eight always does. I wanted to do a bigger burnout than Scotty, so hopefully that came true. The rear tyres need a warranty job, but it's nice to blow off a bit of steam after a long day. Big thanks to the fans, it's been a hell of a weekend."
