Lowndes climbs seven places to finish fourth in his last Pukekohe race
Craig Lowndes (#888) - Holden Commodore ZB
"We had a good finish to the weekend, we didn't quite nail the qualifying session and just missed out on the top ten by a fraction. Going into the race we believed, and knew, the car was going to be fast. We looked after the tyres and we just had to be patient and have a big race. We had a great battle with Davey Reynolds as well. To come from 11th on the starting board, and finish fourth on our final run here at Pukekohe, was really satisfying. Big credit and a big thanks to the team for their strategy and car speed. Also, a big thanks to the fans for coming out and supporting everyone this weekend, it really has been special to be part of for our final run here at Pukekohe. We missed out on the podium by just one spot but all in all, we're really satisfied with how we finished. We move onto the last round of the championship now, but we'll be back here in New Zealand next year."
