Charge to the top ten
The times were tighter than ever at Symmons Plains today, with this mornings practice session determining the qualifying order for today. Nick was only 0.05 of a second off making the top ten in practice, and only 0.035 from getting through to the second qualifying session! This saw Nick and the Blackwoods Racing Commodore start out of 17th position today, a spot up from yesterday. Nick was one of the biggest movers of the day, through a combination of being one of the fastest cars on track and clever team strategy, Nick was able to make up a whopping 8 spots on track and finish in 9th. This is Nick's first top ten result ever at Symmons Plains.

NICK
"We had a good strategy today, and the pace we had in the Blackwoods Racing Commodore was the best it's been all weekend. Essentially, it was the race car that we needed, but not the qualifying car we needed, we really should have qualified further forward than we did this weekend. There is just so little in the times at here Symmons Plains that you aren't searching for tenths of a second, but hundredths, and even thousandths!"

"The Blackwoods team did a great job this weekend, and I've managed to get my first top ten result here at Symmons Plains. It's not the greatest achievement but as a group we want to continue to move forward and take the little wins where we can, and hopefully we'll be back fighting for podiums again very soon."
