The Adelaide battle
The Adelaide 500 proved to be a challenging weekend for 2016 winner Nick Percat and Blackwoods Racing. The qualifying result this morning meant Nick would have to work extremely hard to move forward across the 250km race in front of his home-crowd this afternoon. Whilst he managed to move forward, it was not the desired result.

"Very tough weekend for the Blackwoods Racing Commodore this weekend. We've had an installation issue with the pedal box and the new throttle cable system that we're running, so it was dragging a little. The guys have worked hard to fix it and had it sorted for today. We couldn't get the car hooked up for qualifying so its made for a difficult weekend."
"When the cloud cover came over towards the end of today's race the Blackwoods Supercar was one of the fastest cars on track. We'll go home now, regroup and figure out what we need to do to go better at the Grand Prix."

"Qualifying was tough today. We needed to make a last-minute change during the session, but that meant we would only get the chance to do one flying lap. When I went out I was in the middle of a pack of cars on their fast lap, so it was unfortunate timing as I didn't get the lap in that I should have."
"I'm happy to bring the car home straight after a difficult weekend, we're still learning about the new ZB model. We've got a bit of time now to regroup before the Grand Prix so we'll look at how we can improve the car, and work better on the hard tyres so I can push it further."
