Supercars summary of penalties, Ipswich - update 6 Final
STEWARDS SUMMARY OF JUDICIAL OUTCOMES #6 FINAL issued Sunday 30th July 2017 at 1715hrs.

Matters from Race 16:
Race Director Incident Determinations
The DRD investigated an alleged breach of Rule D12.2.2.4 (the Car controller must not undertake any work at all on a Car at any pit stop) by Car #17, Scott McLaughlin, and determined that the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as there was no evidence to establish a breach of the rule.

The DRD investigated an alleged breach of Rule C.15.4.2 (speed limiter must be activated at all times while a Car is moving in pit lane) by Car #99, Dale Wood, and determined that the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as there was no evidence to establish a breach of the rule.

The DRD investigated a possible breach of Rule D11.2.2 (Safety Car deployment rules) by Car #56, Jason Bright, and determined that the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards in the circumstances.

Stewards' Decisions Penalties imposed
Following DRD investigations and admissions of a breach of the Code of Driving Conduct (Schedule B2 Article 2.1 Careless Driving-impeding) the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 2 Grid Spot positions for Race 16 to the following:
Car #18, Lee Holdsworth (for impeding Car # 888 at Turn 6);
Car #3, Alex Davison (for impeding Car #22 at Turn 3);
Car #99, Dale Wood (for impeding Car #18 at Turn 6); and
Car #99, DaleWood (for impeding Car#2 at Turn 4).

Matters from Race 15:
Stewards' Decisions
The Stewards received a referral from the DRD regarding an alleged breach of Rule D29.1.5.6 by Car #88, Jamie Whincup, for failing to have all four wheels raised off the ground whilst the Car was being refuelled during Race 15. The Stewards convened a hearing into the incident. The Team admitted the breach but submitted there were extenuating circumstances. After hearing all the submissions and considering the relevant matters, the Stewards found there was a breach of the rule but the breach did not warrant a penalty being imposed.

Stewards' Decisions Penalties imposed
The Stewards imposed a post-race Time Penalty on Car #34, James Moffat, for failing to complete a
Compulsory Pit Stop as required by Supplementary Regulation 4.4.

After a DRD investigation and an admission of a breach of the Code of Driving Conduct, Schedule B2, Article 2,2 (Reckless Driving) by Car #99, Dale Wood, (causing contact with Car #34, James Moffat, at Turn 3 on Lap 1), the Stewards imposed the penalty of the Loss of 35 Championship Points on Car #99, Dale Wood.

STEWARDS SUMMARY OF JUDICIAL OUTCOMES #2 issued Saturday 29th July 2017 at 1500hrs.

Matters from Qualifying for Race 15:
Race Director Incident Determinations
The DRD investigated an incident involving Car #3, Alex Davison, and Car #17, Scott McLaughlin, and determined the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as Car #3 was not predominantly to blame for the incident.

Stewards' Decisions Penalties imposed
After a DRD investigation and an admission to a breach of Schedule B2 Articles 6.6 & 6.7 (contact with Car #34 while merging into the fast lane and the floppy at Pit Exit) by Car #88, Jamie Whincup, the Stewards imposed the penalty of the loss of 5 Grid Spots on Car #88, Jamie Whincup, for Race 15.

Matters from Practice 3:
Race Director Incident Determinations
The DRD investigated a possible breach of the rules involving Car#33, Garth Tander, passing Car#18, Lee Holdsworth, under red flags conditions and determined the incident did not warrant being referred to the Stewards as there was insufficient evidence to establish a breach.

Stewards' Decisions Penalties imposed
There were no penalties imposed.
