STEWARDS SUMMARY OF JUDICIAL OUTCOMES #3 FINAL: issued Sunday 9th July 2017 at 1920hrs.

Matters from Race 14:
Deputy Race Director Incident Determinations
There were no determinations.

Stewards' Decisions Penalties imposed
The Stewards imposed a 15 second Time Penalty on Car #12, Fabian Coulthard, for a driving infringement (Careless Driving, causing contact at Turn 13 on Lap 2).

Deputy Race Director Incident Determinations
The DRD conducted an investigation requested by Erebus Motorsport V8 Trust Pty Ltd into an alleged breach of Rule D18.2.4 by Triple Eight Race Engineering Pty Ltd at 12:45PM on 9
July 2017. The DRD considered the request not a valid request in accordance with the Rules but chose to investigate the allegation and after considering the evidence determined the incident did not warrant referral to the Stewards as the evidence did not establish any breach of the Rules.

The DRD finalised outstanding investigations from the Darwin event in relation to allegations that Motorsport Holdings Pty Ltd and Chasports Racing Pty Ltd had breached Further Supplementary Regulation 2 of that event. The DRD determined the incidents did not warrant referral to the Stewards as there was insufficient evidence to establish any breach.

Race Director Incident Determinations
The DRD conducted a post-race investigation into an allegation that Car #97, Shane van Gisbergen, deviated his line under braking on entry to Turn 2 during the final lap of the Race in breach of the Driving Code of Conduct and determined the incident did not warrant being referred to the Stewards.

Stewards' Decisions Penalties imposed
Following a post-race DRD investigation and an admission by Car #99, Dale Wood, of a breach of Rule D12.8.9 (allowing wheels to rotate while the Car was not on the ground without permission of the S&TD), the Stewards imposed the penalty of a post-race Pit Lane Penalty (the addition of 25 seconds to the Race Time) for Car #99, Dale Wood.

Following a post-race DRD investigation and an admission by Car #23, Michael Caruso, of a breach of Rule D12.8.9 (allowing wheels to rotate while the Car was not on the ground without permission of the S&TD), the Stewards imposed the penalty of a post-race Pit Lane Penalty (the addition of 25 seconds to the Race Time) for Car #23, Michael Caruso.

Following a post-race DRD investigation and an admission by Car #33, James Moffatt, of a breach of the Driving Code of Conduct (Careless Driving, causing a collision at Turn 2 on Lap 1 of the Race), the Stewards imposed a 15 second Time Penalty (15 seconds be added to the Race Time) for Car #33, James Moffatt.

There were no issues.

Stewards' Decisions Penalties imposed
The Stewards imposed a fine of $350 on Car #88, Jamie Whincup, for exceeding the pit lane speed limit at pit entry (45kph).

Following an investigation by the DRD and admissions by both Brad Jones Racing and Tim Blanchard Racing that they failed to have their garages open and cars uncovered during the pit lane walk on 8 July 2017 (Rule D28), the Stewards imposed a penalty of a fine of $1000 on both competitors but suspended the fine until 31 December 2017.
