Night racing in Perth is looking good. DJRTP dominated the Friday night race, Mostert and the Red Bulls kept them (somewhat) honest.

The 'stangs aero change has made minimal difference to all.

In qualifying, McLaughlin continues to operate in another division compared to the rest of the field. Can any other teams lay a glove on DJRTP? This round? Prior to Bathurst? This season?

McLaughlin again showed his speed. Particularly with clear air, he'll be very hard to beat at any stage this year. Coulthard showed what getting stuck behind cars can do. Still had a fast car, but with hot tyres/brakes and all the other things that go with following a car with similar speed, couldn't make progress.

Shame the safety car came out when it did, a difference of 5-10 laps would have opened up strategy and tyre wear far more. Caused the last 20 laps to be more processional than it should have been.
